Introduction: Requirements Engineering (RE) lies at the heart of the software development process. One of the most critical elements of Systems and Software Engineering, RE is conducted to define the purpose and goals of a proposed computer-based system by capturing its desired external behavior. RE drives many Software Engineering activities such as project planning, architecture and design, testing, and change management. The DePaul Center for Applied Requirements Engineering at DePaul's School of Computer Science, Telecommunications, and Information Systems, has been established to solve RE related problems both at the theoretical level as well as the applied level. |
